Regional Accountant

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN THIS REGIONAL ACCOUNTANT ROLE?

• Be a part of a dynamic and passionate Regional Finance and Operations team
• Process Corporate Accounting Package and Time and Attendance agenda of our foreign offices located throughout RFE/RL's broadcast region

The day-to-day transactions you will work with include bank & cash payments and reconciliations in various currencies, payroll reviews, procurement reviews, physical voucher control etc.

• Enter or validate data entered to the accounting system (PeopleSoft)
• Create or reviews clear supporting documentation for accounting and payroll transactions
• Monitor and maintains pre-paid expenses; write offs and accruals
• Monitor recording of assets via AP vouchers
• Administer and maintain Time and Attendance and vacation limits in line with local labor laws

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Someone with a great attitude, accuracy, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Someone who can meet customer needs in a helpful way, whether they are internal or external clients
• Fluent English and Czech
• Minimum of two years of experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment
• Experience handling confidential data with a high degree of discretion
• End-user knowledge of MS Office applications and relevant software

This is a locally recruited full-time position on a one-year assignment initially, with the possibility of extension for an open-ended contract after one year.  The opportunity is only open to applicants with the legal right to work in the Czech Republic.
